Revit Guru is the trade name for BIM Consulting Ltd. which operates out of the UK and brings to the marketplace, the skills and experience of one of the world’s leading BIM specialists and authors.

Following eleven years in multi-discipline design in the UK and around the world, Paul Woddy started working for the Revit Corporation as an application specialist at release 2, when the product was available in only one flavour and was recently released outside of the US. The role back then was as much about getting to know the product and how to interpret its usage, as it was about teaching and assisting. When Autodesk bought Revit, Paul moved to a role of Technical Channel Development, helping the resellers and trainers around EMEA to understand the product and the new world of BIM.

Revit Guru operates very much in the post-sales environment, independent of any influence other than what is best for the customer in understanding BIM and getting the most from Revit. As an advisor to some of the largest design and construction companies in the world, Paul is at the forefront of the move to BIM, and an internationally recognised expert in the field.

The recent first release of the AEC(UK) BIM Standard for Revit is the result of an initiative which brings together forward thinking users and organisations, and describes the protocols for best practice and quality assurance in the operation of BIM. Paul is the chairman and editor of the Revit version of the standard, successfully delivering a world first and a document which is fast becoming a national standard here in the UK as well as in various other countries.
